40+ years of experience
INTI House of Light can build on more than 40 years of experience from Ignace Bertens' IB Lichtateljee, a renowned name in Bruges and beyond. Since the 1980s, IB Lichtateljee has pioneered creative lighting concepts that enhance the atmosphere by highlighting the architecture of each project.
Second generation of lighting designers
With the arrival of the second generation, this family business continues its avant-garde vision on light, architecture and (product)design. As successor to father Ignace, Simon Berten - an architect by training, and found in his father's studio since childhood, aims to elevate INTI to the next level. His professional experience at several renowned architecture firms (JDS Architects and Govaert & Vanhoutte Architects) has taught him the importance of a well-thought-out lighting design in doing justice to architecture and its surroundings. Meanwhile, the team continues to grow, combining years of knowledge and expertise into a young and dynamic light team.
