Together with the architect, we shaped a home where light blends into architecture almost unnoticed, supporting a space that feels calm honest and warm. Set in the quiet fields near Ypres - once marked by the frontlines - the contrast between past and present could not be more striking: from a place of destruction to one of peace and presence. In the living area the lighting could touch the roof structure, keeping its presence pure and uninterrupted. We embraced this restraint by introducing subtle layers of light carefully woven into the rhythm of the architecture. A project built on clarity, trust and a shared love for simplicity.
